Nobody can quote stone from a web page, but you should know what you are being quoted on before you talk to anyone. Quartz prices differently from natural stone, and these are the levers.
These come from our own guides on this site, written by the people who cut it. Quartz is a genuinely low-maintenance surface. It is not indestructible, and anyone who tells you it is has not fabricated much of it.
Slabs come in finite sizes, so on most kitchens the real design question is not whether there is a joint but where it falls. Three of the decisions worth making deliberately rather than discovering on install day.
A customer described exactly this on HomeStars in November 2024: “We were amazed at how accurate Eva’s measurements were especially with the large L-shaped counter slab, it came all in one piece, no cut or seams at the corner section!”
We fabricate all of these, so we have no reason to push you toward one. The honest version, including the cases where quartz is the wrong answer.

We go through quartz collections against your budget, then take exact measurements and settle edge profile, seam placement, waterfall panels and cutouts.

It depends on the collection more than anything else. An entry-level series and a heavily veined marble-look quartz can differ by a multiple for the same kitchen, and a waterfall end adds material and two mitred joints on top of that. Rather than publish a headline price that would mislead you, we will walk you through which factor is driving your quote so you can adjust it. Quoting is free.
No. It is non-porous by construction, so there is nothing to seal — not when it is installed, not ever. That is the single clearest advantage it has over granite and marble.
Not directly, and this is the one warning worth taking seriously. The resin binder does not tolerate extreme heat, so a pan straight off the burner can scorch or thermally shock the surface. Use trivets. If that sounds like a rule you will forget, granite or quartzite is the better choice and we cut both.
It depends on your layout and the slab size. Long runs and big islands usually need a joint somewhere; where it falls is a decision we make with you rather than one you discover on install day. On some L-shaped kitchens the run comes out of a single piece with no corner seam at all — worth asking before you assume otherwise.
Quartz is engineered — crushed stone bound with resin, manufactured to a consistent pattern. Quartzite is natural stone, harder than granite, and often looks like marble. They sound alike and behave completely differently: quartzite tolerates heat and needs sealing; quartz tolerates neither heat nor needs sealing.
No. Tell us the room and roughly how big it is and we can start narrowing collections straight away. Precise numbers come from our own measure visit, and nothing is cut until those are confirmed.
Yes — tell us the brand and colour name and we will source that slab and quote it. We work through sixteen distributors and manufacturers, so if you have fallen for a specific Caesarstone, Silestone, Hanstone, Vicostone or Viatera colour, bring the name and we will handle getting it. You don’t need to buy or transport the slab yourself.
